Best Way to Learn guitar by using the Internet

3 Essential Tips - by Jeremy Glass

I got to tell you that when I first picked up a guitar I was about 10 years old and before long I was reluctantly attending classical guitar lessons that my mum and dad had arranged for me...How I hated every minute!!!

You see my idea of guitar playing was not running through hours of musical theory...No...I wanted to start playing my favorite songs, in the shortest time!
Needless to say I was soon making up all kinds of excuses to get out of my weekly guitar lessons.

After some 30 years I once again took up the idea to re-kindle my desire to learn guitar...And so, I bought myself a cheap guitar to see how I got on this time.

Well, how times have changed thanks to the internet I can start playing my favorite tunes straight away...Well kind of...A simple google search usually brings up the Chord and note tabs and away I go.

But, be warned if you are serious about learning your guitar then there comes a time when want to know how your favorite guitarists do certain things...

Here are my three tips on the best way to learning guitar...

Tip 1:

Do a Google search...

Use the internet like I did. Do searches on Google...Simply type in the name of your favorite song and add 'tabs' or 'chords ' with the search and you will be surprised at what you find...

Tip 2:

Seek out the net community on forums etc...lots of FREE! advice and time saving tips...

Not only will you find the songs you're interested in but you will discover many forums that you can join for free! The amazing thing about the internet is its community...folks really want to help other folks and the same is true with your fellow guitar players . Remember, always pay forward any help or advice that you might be able to give too!

Tip 3:

Sign up for an online guitar course...WARNING!...Not all guitar courses are of equal quality...So don't rush in!

This is the way I have gone and I can fully recommend it although as I have said be very careful when it comes too shelling out your hard earned cash!

The first thing you should look for is a 'Money Back Guarantee' quickly scroll to the end of the sales page and check to see that one is offered.

Secondly, only consider those which offer a free trial period or, even better, a free course. this gives you the best chance to see how and what you will learn...Some courses are nothing more than fluff and sales hype!
